Drive More Traffic to Your Blog with BlogRush Beta!

Jason Marshal, a fellow Next Internet Millionaire contestant, sent me a message about a new blog traffic surface called BlogRush.

The idea behind BlogRush is that a widget is displayed in your sidebar that advertises the titles of other blog posts. The links are generated in JavaScript, so Google will not provide any benefit or penalty for their use.

You receive credits for each person who views your blog, and the number of credits you have determine how often your blog post titles are shown to others.

The best part is that I was able to “invite” all of my other blogs as well, which gave me mondo syndication credits because I accepted all of my own invitations!

Its a neat idea as a concept, and should be easy for teh company to monetize later by offering paid placement like Google does with their AdSense ads in search results.

What is really cool is that the other blogs open in new windows, so you can have a “sticky blog” that holds your readership while at the same time benefiting from the increase in traffic yourself.
