It’s been months and months since my last blog post. Last week on my radio show, Compute This, I mentioned that I hadn’t posted in a while and if people wanted to know what I thought about certain topics they could email me and I would start up again. I received a few phone calls […]

In 2008 we opened a new Service Center in Lincoln, NE and we needed someone who could work some concrete magic for us.
Todd Rose Decorative Concrete put in a floor, a concrete reception desk and concrete display counters. These guys did things with concrete that I didn’t even know you could do!
Here’s a mash-up of what they did in one short week:
Today I learned that they also were honored in a trade publication featuring some of their work in Lincoln, Omaha and across the state of Nebraska!
The first time I met Todd he had some big ideas and a lot of motivation to get where he was going. It is amazing that he has been able to accomplish as much as he has with an economy as uncooperative as this one is.
It is a testiment to the kind of man Todd is and the kind of Company he runs. I would strongly recommend Todd Rose Decorative Concrete to any of my friends or business associates!
How do You Define Website Success?

I had some conversations with a client recently about their websites. This is a multi-million dollar company that operates over 12 websites that are used mainly to promote their other products and services.
Each of their websites was attracting less than 15,000 unique visitors and each visitor was consuming about 2.25 pages of content per visit. They were not making any money on the websites and that’s why they wanted to talk to me.
Defining Success:
They thought their web statistics were great, and they thought they just needed to find the right mix of technique and opportunity to cash in on their traffic.
I was in the uncomfortable position of telling him that the stats were not that great – a good start – but definitely not capable of generating the six-figure return they were seeking.
How would You Define Success With Your Website?
That got me thinking about how success is really a relative term. It means something different to every person based on their expectations and who they are comparing themselves against.
Some webmasters would be perfectly happy with a couple hundred dollars of income every month, while others would be looking for thousands.
What is your dream website income and how close are you to achieving it?
Developing a Plan and Executing
Obviously for my client we needed to bring more traffic to his websites before he would have any hope of generating the kind of money he confided to be “success.”
It always comes back to content. Sometimes you can beg, borrow, or even steal it – but it always boils down to you making some of your own.
Do you generate enough content to make your dreams of website success a reality?

Charity Adams appeared on the set of Top Affiliate Challenge to help contestants find WebJamAds programs that matched their traffic.
While she was on the set, Charity reconnected with her love to help people in person. Shortly after the conclusion of the show she took a position marketing for the Good Samaritan Society. She seemed to be on a good path until recently.
Now Charity is behind bars, and some might even think this is a good thing.

I first met Joel Comm on the set of The Next Internet Millionaire, and I have to confess, I knew nothing about him. He was just some guy with a funny little goetee (we nicknamed it “The Comm” on the set).
Joel inspires me because he is the true essence of an entrepreneur. He is always looking for opportunity and is always finding it in the cleverest places.
