Today is the anniversary of the September 11th attack. I thought about writing a thoughtful post on what it means to be an American, how America has led the world for the past 100 years, and how we are art risk of losing that edge to the Chinese and others in the next 100 years.

Well, that was too depressing for me today, so instead I thought I would illustrate some differences between George W Bush and Obama. I firmly believe that Barack Obama’s policies are a disaster for this country. I believe there will be a day when those who voted for Obama will realize they got duped (those few that still don’t know that already).

These posts typically get snapped up in the search engines and then hacks from both sides snipe back and forth and the truth is so obfuscated that no one can decipher what is really going on.

Rather than the usual, I thought I would let these two leaders speak for themselves. Here are some notable quotes from Bush and Obama:

Barack Obama Quotes:

George W. Bush Quotes:

Today we are engaged in a deadly global struggle for those who would intimidate, torture, and murder people for exercising the most basic freedoms.

We have real enemies in the world. These enemies must be found. They must be pursued and they must be defeated.

Now here’s the real test. Some of you read all the way to the bottom before you fired from the hip. You THOUGHT about what these quotes meant before you applied them to the media templates that exist for these men. You are the REAL American patriots here.

You are the only ones who know that I switched the attribution for the above quotes. The Obama quotes were actually Bush quotes, and the Bush quotes were actually spoken by Obama.

Actions speak louder than words, and I am Obama’s actions. They don’t match what he is saying and THAT is why I am scared for America’s future.

I never imagined that I would be writing this, but I actually agree with the ACLU on something.

I am used to the ACLU defending the indefensible and taking ridiculous positions on issues that inflame public opinion.

But this video is as scary as it gets and if Obama digitizes health care records as part of his overall socialization of the US health care system, this could be a reality more quickly than you might think. Way to go ACLU for getting one right this time.

I think it is safe to say that we are all living in a pivotal time in American history for a number of reasons. Right now we are experiencing the biggest changes in the behavior of the US Government since the birth of the progressive movement in the early 20th century brought us a new social contract (i.e. Social Security, the New Deal, etc..)

Today there are hundreds of Tea Parties taking place all over the country to protest government taxation and how the federal government spends the funds it takes in (or lately borrows from China).

I initially was planning on writing a post today about the Tea Parties and why they are going to be a significant event that our children will read about in their high school text books – not because they will be pivotal in their own right, but because they are marking the beginning of a grassroots reversal against the progressive movement that has brought us to this point.

When Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated no one really realized that that single spark was all that was needed to ignite the powder key that was World War I. I have no doubt that these Tea Parties are a spark in the consciousness of the American people. The question is will that spark ignite anything?

Its days like today that I am so proud to be an American. The US Navy provided an Easter miracle of sorts today when it freed Captain Richard Phillips from a handful of Somali pirates with three successful sniper head shots.

Congratulations to the Captain’s family and crew members. Not only did this crew successful foil the initial pirate attack, the cool head of the captain got everyone out of the situation alive who wanted to get out alive.

The telecast of Barack Obama’s inauguration as the 44th President of the United States is happening in the middle of the afternoon today.

Right now is the time to pray for for our president elect and hope that he has the ability to lead us forward for the next 4 years.

There will be mistakes, but in the end we are all Americans and we are one nation under God. Lets do something that the Democrats never did – let’s unite behind our president and heal as a nation.

I am speechless. It is unbelievable to think that a Black Panther can tap a night stick in his hand while blocking the path of a white voter IN THE DOOR of a polling place. CNN and MSNBC ignored it, but thank God for Fox News:

Sometimes brevity is the soul of wit. I don’t want to pay my mortgage or pay to put gas in my car anymore either! This video speaks for itself.

As Linus was writing his letter to “The Great Pumpkin” it occurred to me that his letter might also be a metaphor for Barack Obama’s candidacy.

McCain shows class by spending sparse campaign dollars to congratulate Obama while the Obama campaign practices yesterday’s politics of personal destruction.
